This is a collection of poems written over 20 years, constituting a kind of fragmentary memoir. The author began it as novice in a Trappist monastery and ended it as a married man working as a computer network defender and intelligence analyst. It contains poems in both traditional forms (such as sonnets, villanelles, haiku, and tanka) as well as open forms. The author’s concerns range from divine and human love to the contemplative experience of God in prayer, the nature of creativity, the relationship between the creative and the Creator, and the transcendent truths captured in jazz and in the natural world.
